2010 ACCSC School of Excellence
Through the School of Excellence Award, the Commission recognizes exemplary career schools and colleges for demonstrating a high-level commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSC accreditation; the delivery of quality educational programs and services and for demonstrating a high-level of achievement among its students.
In order to earn this award, the graduation and employment rates from all programs offered by the school must meet or exceed the average rates among all ACCSC accredited institutions.

August 2011  The school is proud to announce that in February of 2011 Phinneas Duru was hired as a placemnet advisor. Mr. Duru has an extensive New York City career school background. He worked at Caliber Training Institute for fifteen(15) years and he loves working with young people on improving their lives.

May 2011  Sandra Parisette the school's senior Dental Assistant Instructor says "it is very important that the school's students learn Dentrix so they can be a big asset to a New York City Dental Office. The spring and summer series of CPR/ AED classes has been completed. Not just for NYSMDA students, our American Hearth Association CPR / AED classes are open to NYSMDA alumni and the general public. Each session includes six (6) hours of American Heart Association instruction and time for testing. There is no charge for currently enrolled NYSMDA students. With our MAY 2011 graduation ceremonies a fond memory, the school is now busy preparing for its October 28, 2011 commencement exercises to held at Queens College Kupferberg Center. Invitations will be mailed to graduates from late September to early October. Each graduate planning to attend must pick up admission tickets for family and friends along with their graduation cap and gown during the week before graduation. February 2011  Barbara Muchene, Dean of Education announced that on February 12, 2011 thirty-two (32) of our medical assistant students sat for the National Phlebotomy Technologist Exam and all thirty-two (32) students passed earning their Certified Phlebotomy Technologist credential.

Dean of Education, Ms. Barbara Muchene, R.N., B.Ed., M.S accepted the appointment to the National Phlebotomy Associations’ Board of Directors this August. The National Phlebotomy Association (NPA) is a non-profit organization for education and certification of phlebotomists. Two (2) internet connected projection systems were recently installed in classrooms as part of an institutional improvement pilot program.
