August 2011  The school is proud to announce that in February of 2011 Phinneas Duru was hired as a placemnet advisor. Mr. Duru has an extensive New York City career school background. The spring and summer series of CPR/ AED classes has been completed. Not just for NYSMDA students, our American Hearth Association CPR / AED classes are open to NYSMDA alumni and the general public. Each session includes six (6) hours of American Heart Association instruction and time for testing. There is no charge for currently enrolled NYSMDA students. With our MAY 2011 graduation ceremonies a fond memory, the school is now busy preparing for its October 28, 2011 commencement exercises to held at Queens College Kupferberg Center. Invitations will be mailed to graduates from late September to early October. Each graduate planning to attend must pick up admission tickets for family and friends along with their graduation cap and gown during the week before graduation.
